pu, this is so true about Cambodia. Many investment and big companies are moving to Cambodia. There is great potential for the country and investors. My question is, where are all the money go? The economy is growing but I don't see any change. Poverty rate is still very high and corruption is getting worse.

You don't have to be a genious to know where all the money goes. This is what happens when communists turn capitalists. Maybe what we need is another kind of revolution???????

Revolution is not always good. For those who are the old people had a bad experience of revolution in 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. The past revolutions are only the legal way that allow the supper powerman kill the innocent.
My recommendation is that, we need to strengthen the geniune democracy to the youth and start teaching the democracy to children in the ground level. So that the next generation will a democratic drivers for the country. Also if you're ready for democracy challenger let spread your ideaology to all other Cambodian. Education also important for the rural population because mostly when you say democracy to un-educated people, they will not understand what you taking about.
Proverb: No one born in a good citizen, no nation in democratic, rather than we're all struggle to get it in over the lifetime.

Independent Ajax.

"demcracy" I think is used over and over gain to the point that it almost loses its meaning in the current environment, like Cambodia. We only need to look at our next door neighbours such as Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. How democratic are these countries? One may argue that they are better off than Cambodia in terms of democratic pratices. The question is what model of demcracy are we talking about? the Asian model or the Western model?
